Apple iWork is an office suite that is specially made for the Mac computers. There are 3 applications included in this suite such as Pages with a word processor, Numbers with a spreadsheet program and Keynote with a presentation editor. Before installing the iWork you must make sure that it is compatible with your computer.

1. The computer must be running with Mac OS X v10.4.10 operating system or other later version. The computer must also feature a QuickTime 7.2 or newer version.

2. IWork will work only on a Mac computer featuring an Intel, PowerPC G5 or PowerPC G4 processor. In case the computer has a PowerPC G4 CPU, it must be 500 MHz or faster. The computer must feature at least 512MB RAM or may be 1GB for a best performance.

3. IWork also needs 1GB of free storage space and also has extra room for saving files. There must be a CD-ROM drive to install the software as iWork isn’t downloadable via Apple.

4. The video card must be of at least 32MB of video RAM which is a must in all the Mac computers. The monitor display with 1,280 by 768 pixels or better can be a perfect choice for installing iWork, but it can also world with lesser resolution.
