In case if you ever put the cell phone in the water can damage battery and also take the cell phone beyond repair. The cell phone can be dried easily and avoid replacement by following few simple steps.

1. If the cell phone falls in the water, remove the battery as soon as possible along with the sim card. Make them dry using a soft towel and keep them aside. Never use any heat for drying the battery.

2. Try to remove as much as water from the mobile phone and avoid using a blow dryer as it can affect internal components.

3. Keep the cell phone for drying it completely for about 3 days. To speed up the drying process, the cell phone can be placed in a bowl of white rice to moisture out.

4. Once the cell phone and the battery becomes completely dry place them back together inside and try to charge up the phone.

5. In case the cell phone fails to work after trying all the above process taking it to the shop or getting a new one can be the best option.
