Ubuntu Netbook is a special edition from Ubuntu Linux operating system that has been designed for netbooks. Similar to the operating systems from Microsoft and Apple, it is also available for free of cost with similar features.

1. It is recommend from the manufacturers of this special edition a minimum of 1.6GHz Intel Atom or comparable processor. The system must have at least 386MB RAM on to run the Ubuntu Netbook. It is less than 512MB of the desktop version.

2. You must have a minimum of 4GB free space on the hard drive and also have space for installing applications or files such as documents, photos and videos.

3. Ubuntu also needs a video card that is capable of producing visual effects. All the present modern graphics chipsets must meet this requirement and the netbook also requires a screen that is capable of a 1024-by-600 or higher resolution.
